If the user started the payment process and added the cardholder details, the transaction status goes to ‘inflight’. When the transaction status is ‘inflight’ the user can resume the transaction and proceed.
The duration of how long the transaction stays ‘inflight’ is between 1 hour to 28 days. This depends on configuration settings that each Merchant wants to have, usually we set it up to 3 days.
When the duration expires the transaction, status is expired, and user cannot proceed. Also, if the user started the process of payment but did not enter its card details, cannot resume the transaction process and must start from the beginning.
