Mr Taoushanis holds a BSc degree in Economics, and a Master’s in Business Administration received from the London School of Economics and the London Business School, respectively. Mr Taoushanis brings extensive banking and finance knowledge and experience to iSignthis having spent over 30 years in the industry in various senior roles.

Prior to joining the ISX board  Mr Taoushanis has worked for some of the worlds largest banks in a number of different locations including, Chicago, Greece, Hong Kong and Cyprus. This includes serving at Continental Illinois National Bank of Chicago for four years, the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Group *(HSBC) for Eighteen years, with twelve of those as the Managing Director of the Cyprus subsidiary, and eight years as the Chief Executive Officer of the Cyprus Development Bank.

Since 2011 Mr Taoushanis has been working with the private firm TTEG & Associates, providing services as an advisor to several companies.

In August 2016, Mr Taoushanis was appointed as the Chairman of the Cyprus Cooperative Bank, a systematically important bank in Cyprus, after receiving approval from the Central Bank of Cyprus, the European Central Bank and Cyprus Parliament. Mr Taoushanis served until his resignation 13th October 2017.

The company has also appointed Mr Taoushanis as its representative to the European Cards Stakeholders Group (ECSG), of which the company was a founding member.

Mr.Karantzis is the founder and Managing Director/CEO of ISX. He holds qualifications in engineering (University of Western Australia), law, and business (University of Melbourne), with a broad understanding of international regulatory regimes as they relate to payments, money laundering and identity. Mr. Katantzis has over 20 years’ experience across a number of sectors including payments, online media, AML, defence and secure communications.

Mr. Barnes has international business experience in venture development in both the financial services and technology sectors and has been involved in M&A activities for over 30 years. An experienced executive and latterly non-executive director with Tristel PLC (TSTL.L) an LSE AIM market Listed healthcare company where he has served as Chairman of the Company and as Chairman of the and Audit and Risk Committee. He is also an independent director of ASX listed Etherstack plc (ASX:ESK) which specialises in wireless technology including waveforms and public mobile radio solutions.

Mr. Barnes is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and is a Member of the UK’s Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Mr.Barnes was elected a director of the FCA regulated authorised electronic money institution, ISX Financial UK Ltd in September 2020

Mr.Pouros holds a B.Sc & M.Sc in Economics from the London School of Economics and the University of Aberdeen, respectively. Mr. Pouros also holds a certificate from the International Monetary Fund Institute (USA) and the European Institute of Public Administration (Maastricht-Netherlands).
Mr. Pouros has extensive experience in governmental economic affairs having worked as Permanent Secretary at the Economic Planning Bureau, at the Ministry of External Affairs (DG European Union) and at the Ministly of Agriculture Natural Resources and Environment of Cyprus. He has also served as President of the Board of Directors of the Research Promotion Foundation, of the Agricultural Insurance Organisation, and of Eurolife Insurance.


Mr. Pouros has also been a member of the economic research unit of the University of Cyprus, the Economic Advisory committee to the President of the Republic of Cyprus, and the negotiating team of Cyprus during the EU accession negotiations. He has also been member of the broad of directors of the Human Resource Development Authority, the European Institute, the Town Planning Council and various other boards and committees in Cyprus.

Mr Pegasiou holds a BSc degree in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Masters from the University of Bristol in European Policy Studies. Mr.Pegasiou further holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester in Politics. Additionally, he then received funding to undertake a post-doctoral fellowship to study the Europeanisation of Cyprus’s Economy and was based at the European University of Cyprus and in cooperation with the LSE and the University of Manchester

Mr.Pegasiou has over 10 years’ experience in academia which includes him lecturing at both the ‘University of Cyprus’ and the  ‘European University of Cyprus’ and is currently the Academic Director at the ‘European Institute of Management and Finance’.

In addition, Mr.Pegasiou has over a decade experience as a consultant for the public and the private sector, where he served on the Boards of Cyprus Airways as well as most recently the Cyprus Cooperative Bank, among other. He holds a number of professional qualifications including Certificate in Risk in Financial Services (offered by CISI), Certified Global Sanctions Specialist Certification (offered by ACAMS) and Diploma in ‘Governance, Risk and Compliance’ (offered by ICA).

Dominic has played key roles, especially in the financial services IT arena, in designing, executing and analyzing projects for the international B2B and B2C markets. His proven record of driving product solutions in high-growth, performance-focused environments, makes him a valuable addition as the company reinforces its payment services. Dominic has previously held director and senior roles at EU regulated Payment Service Providers.
